This project creates a series of playful, slightly surreal postcards merging abstracted diplomatic maps of Togo with imagery and textures inspired by the recent historic floods in Washington state. The postcards question the fluidity and fragility of geopolitical boundaries in the face of natural disasters, blending the themes of international relations and environmental crisis. Emerging from the contrast between Togo's active yet nonaligned diplomacy and Washington's tangible vulnerability to floods, the project experiments with how distant political and natural events might visually and conceptually collide on a small, personal object.
