Project Topic: Infrared Matchday: Glow of the Game

This project is a small zine combining the intensity of Guinea’s national football matches with the mysterious allure of ancient plants that attract pollinators through heat and infrared light. Each page overlays match statistics and results with abstract, heat-inspired visual motifs that simulate the unseen energy emitted both by passionate sports moments and cycads’ glowing heat signals. The project explores unseen connections between human competition and natural primal communication methods, inviting readers to reconsider the layers of engagement and attraction beyond the visible. It emerged from the juxtaposition of structured football data and biological phenomena that use invisible warmth as a language.
